AC Milan consider Marseille’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

AC Milan are reportedly considering Olympique de Marseille’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (30) as a potential signing for their midfield, according to Sky Sport.
Although his contract with Les Phocéens runs until 2028, the club’s financial difficulties and their need to reduce their wage bill could well enable the Milan management to secure the Dane’s services at a favourable price.

However, there is no rush for the Lombards, who will first give their new manager, Ruben Amorim, time to assess the quality of his squad. Should he express a need to sign a midfielder, the trail leading to Højbjerg could, in that case, be pursued swiftly.
In Milan, the former Tottenham Hotspur man would also have the opportunity to be reunited with Adrien Rabiot (31), with whom he played for Marseille during the 2024-25 season.
These are all factors in favour of the Copenhagen-born player’s move to San Siro, with him coming off the back of a busy season in which he made 43 appearances, scoring five goals and providing five assists across all competitions.
