Paz is a right-handed pitcher that appeared in 17 games including six starts for LSU in 2026. The Tigers had a disappointing season and missed the NCAA Tournament. Paz went 1-4 and had a 9.20 ERA in 29.1 innings pitched. The rising sophomore allowed 30 earned runs, had 40 strikeouts and 27 walks.

Paz is a former elite recruit. He was ranked as a top-35 recruit by Perfect Game and Prep Baseball. The right-handed pitcher will look to find his groove under guidance from Georgia manager Wes Johnson, who was previously the LSU pitching coach in 2023.

Georgia is coming off a College World Series appearance. The Bulldogs won the 2026 SEC Tournament and had the SEC's best record during the regular season.

"Go Dawgs," Paz said via social media after committing to Georgia.
