Indiana Fever have inconsistent week of games

The Indiana Fever returned home from a four-game road trip this week, one they finished by dominating the reigning-champion Las Vegas Aces by 34 points, to the No. 1 defense in the league in the Golden State Valkyries.

The Fever didn't have nearly as successful of a game against the Valkyries, trailing most of the game and allowing Golden State to dictate the pace and flow in what became an 88-75 loss. That inconsistency has been the story of the Fever's season so far, in a way; they have some games where they look like they can be contenders, then others that they can't control any part of the game.
Now, with three games left until the All-Star break, they are 14-10 and sixth in the WNBA standings. The Fever have gone into the playoffs as the No. 6 seed in each of the last two seasons.
