The Tar Heels are currently the No. 6 seed in the East Region. UNC finished the regular season 24-7 overall and 12-6 in ACC play. The reasoning for the drop is largely due to the season-ending injury of All-ACC forward Caleb Wilson. Before his injury, Wilson was averaging 19.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
Here is how the East Region shapes up, with the regional finals being played in Washington, D.C.
