Who Won Last Year’s Xfinity 500 at Martinsville?

William Byron enters Sunday’s Cup Series Xfinity 500 at Martinsville as the defending winner. It was the driver of the No. 24’s third Martinsville victory. The win clinched the Hendrick Motorsports driver a spot in the Championship 4 race under the previous playoff format.

It was a dominant performance for Byron as he paced the field for 304 of 500 laps and won both stages. Ryan Blaney finished second after starting from the 31st position and led 177 laps. This Sunday, Byron is seeking his first trip to victory lane of 2026.

After a thrilling win at Talladega last Sunday, Kyle Larson has a chance to lock up the championship one week early. Leading by 73 points, the driver of the No. 5 will only need to gain three points on his advantage to clinch the championship. It would be Larson’s third career championship and his second straight Cup title.

Denny Hamlin, a six-time Martinsville winner, will aim to get back in the championship hunt as he sits second in the points standings. In his 21st full-time season, Hamlin is seeking his first Cup title.
