Hot: Alex DeBrincat leads the Red Wings in goals (four), points (four) and plus-minus (+7). He also recently agreed to a seven-year contract that will pay him an average of $13 million a season.

Not:   After playing well in his first game, Dylan Larkin has gone three consecutive games without a point. This may stem from Larkin missing training camp with an injury.

Spotlight: Nate Danielson will play with Dylan Larkin. The Red Wings want to give him a chance to show he can contribute offense at this level.

Story:  Daniil Tarasov will be goal tonight against the Flyers. . . DeBrincat needs just two goals to become the fourth Michigan native to score 300 goals in the NHL. He currently trails Mike Modano (561), Brian Rolston (342) and Kyle Connor on the Michigan goals list. DeBrincat can become the second player from the 2016 draft list to score 300, joining Auston Matthews (432). . . Michael Brandsegg-Nygard is now the third Norwegian in the NHL, joining Emil Lilleberg and Mats Zuccarello. MBN helped Norway win a bronze medal at the 2026 World Championships. . .
