Taylor — the No. 10th prospect in the 2027 recruiting cycle, according to the 2027 USA TODAY Sports Recruiting Composite Rankings and a Nebraska football commit — threw for 345 yards and five touchdowns and ran in for another score in the victory.

His favorite target was former Cornhusker commit Ellis, who finished with four catches for 129 yards and three scores.

Taylor has been committed to Nebraska since May 1, 2025, while Ellis committed to Nebraska on Nov. 3, 2025, and even made the move from Texas' North Crowley High School to Nebraska to join Taylor and be closer to his future college.

However, Ellis decommitted from the Cornhuskers on Sept. 2.

Entering play on Friday, Taylor had accounted for 1,471 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and two interceptions, while also adding 84 rushes for 473 yards and eight touchdowns.
