Thursday's updated Week 4 injury report brought more unfortunate news for the offensive and defensive lines of the Green Bay Packers.

While starting defensive tackle Karl Brooks was able to practice in a limited capacity coming off an illness, giving him a chance to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Packers downgraded defensive lineman Warren Brinson to a non-participant due to a new groin injury and added rookie offensive lineman Jager Burton to the injury report with a new groin injury.
Brinson was just returning to practice on Wednesday after missing the first three games of the regular season with a calf injury originally suffered during pre-game warmups in Denver on Aug. 21. Brinson injured his groin early in the practice on Wednesday, missed Thursday's practice and is now in real danger of missing more game action.
Burton, who started at left guard last week, is dealing with a new injury. He was not likely to be a starting option in Week 4, and his groin injury could make him a real candidate to be inactive on Sunday in Tampa Bay.
Defensive lineman Anthony Campbell also wasn't able to practice, so the Packers are in some danger up front on defense. Brooks is recovering from an illness, Brinson and Campbell are trending towards being unavailable for Sunday, and temps in Tampa are trending towards hot and humid. Will having only four completely healthy defensive linemen be enough, especially against a team who will likely run the ball a lot with a rookie quarterback under center?
Guards Aaron Banks and Jacob Monk did not practice on Thursday, making both unlikely to play Sunday. They were starters entering the 2026 season; it's possible veteran newcomers Laken Tomlinson and Kevin Zeitler will need to play against the Buccaneers.
Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper practiced again in a limited capacity on Thursday but remains in the concussion protocol. He must pass the protocol before Sunday to play.
The Buccaneers returned receiver Chris Godwin, edge rusher Yaya Diaby and defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches to practice, while rookie linebacker Josiah Trotter was a full participant on Thursday. Quarterback Baker Mayfield (who is out) and first-round pick Rueben Bain Jr. did not practice.
