The Chicago Bears experienced several feel-good moments in Week 3 as they beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-7 that led to coach Ben Johnson taking a subtle shot at Lions QB Jared Goff. A case was made for Case Keenum to continue starting as he led the Bears to a big win.

Keenum got help from D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai in the running game as both backs combined for over 100 yards. Afterward, Monangai couldn’t help but shout out his quarterback as the Bears basked in the glow of the big W in the Windy City. He said he was “super happy” for Keenum and cracked a smile when he mentioned his name.
“We love Case…he’s like the energy ball of everything,” Monangai said, noting his age (38). “You see the love he has for the game every day that he comes into the facility. No one’s more deserving.”

Monangai also shouted out offensive coordinator Press Taylor for calling a “great game” saying that he made things easier for his team and their new starting (backup) quarterback.
Keenum called Johnson a “magician” for the gameplan he put together to knock off Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. The former Lions play-calling wizard will have a little time to rest before Week 4 against the New York Jets, when he and Keenum will be tasked with taking down Aaron Glenn’s team at Soldier Field.
The Bears’ offense isn’t putting up the record stats Johnson wanted them to at the start of the year, but they are becoming more adaptable and versatile. Week 4 is another chance to show how far they have come against a defensive-minded team.
