The Jacksonville Jaguars improved to 2-1 on the season, following a Week 3 win over the New England Patriots.
Now that the dust has settled on Sunday's game, let's highlight the studs and duds from the Jaguars' performance in Week 3.

Stud: RB Bhayshul Tuten
Tuten continues to make the most of his opportunities. On 15 rush attempts, he totaled 73 yards, averaging 4.9 yards per attempt, with a touchdown. Tuten has been very good this season at making defenders miss, often generating more yards than what might initially be blocked up.
Dud: More explosive passing plays allowed
On 25 pass attempts, Drake Maye averaged 8.0 yards per throw. This included completing two passes of at least 34 yards and two others of at least 21 yards. Giving up big plays through the air has been an issue early on for the Jaguars' defense.
Stud: Jaguars' defense in key situations
Despite the big passing plays surrendered, the Jaguars were able to keep points off the board this week. That, in part, was due to their play in the red zone, with New England failing to score a touchdown on all three of their visits. The Patriots offense also converted just 4-of-12 third-down opportunities, not to mention that the Jaguars generated three takeaways as well.
Dud: Penalties
The Jaguars won 35-6, so it's not as if these penalties hurt the team all that much. However, seven penalties in a game is on the high side. For some context, last season, averaging seven penalties per game would have been the fifth-highest amount in the NFL. When it comes to playoff time, too many penalties can result in a loss.
Stud: Liam Coen
If there's one thing we've learned about the Liam Coen-led Jaguars over the last year-plus is that this unit is resilient and knows how to respond. This week was the latest example of that. A week ago, the Jaguars let a second-half lead disappear in Denver, in large part due to self-inflicted mistakes. But this week, the Jaguars rebounded in a big way, blowing out the defending AFC Champions. The messaging, and whatever buttons have to be pressed throughout the week, Coen knows exactly what to do to get the most out of his team.
