Predicting Big 12 football scores in Week 4: Colorado looks to bounce back

Week 4 of the college football season is upon us and while there aren’t any top-25 showdowns in the Big 12 Conference — there are notable games. If you like offense then the Oklahoma State vs. West Virginia game could be for you.

Both the Cowboys and Mountaineers can put up some points. And then there is Deion Sanders. Colorado just suffered an embarrasing loss to Northwestern in Week 3 and his team heads to Waco to take on Baylor. The Bears get DJ Lagway back to quarterback and eyes will be on that game to see how both teams play.
Here’s how each Big 12 game could go this weekend.

No. 15 Utah vs. Iowa State

The Utes are 3-0 and quarterback Devon Dampier remains a mismatch problem. Saturday will mark Utah’s first Big 12 game and it has the Cyclones.
Iowa State dropped a low-scoring affair to rival Iowa in Week 2, but the Cyclones bounced back nicely last week against Bowling Green, winning 55-7. Quarterback Jaylen Raynor has a combined six touchdowns through the air and on the ground and he could cause some issues for Utah’s defense.
But if he does, it won’t last long. Utah is the more physical team and has skilled playmakers. The Utes should begin conference play 1-0.

Colorado vs. Baylor

The Buffaloes might be 2-1, but they just got blasted by Northwestern, who likely will be in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten this season. The Wildcats won 41-7 and Deion Sanders has kicked some players off his team since.
Colorado is a mess and its first game will be traveling to Waco to play Baylor. The Bears will get star quarterback DJ Lagway back after he’s missed the last two games after sustaining an injury against Auburn. The Bears’ offense has been great even with Lagway out, and Baylor has some offensive firepower at wide receiver.
Baylor has done a good job of getting to the opposing quarterback, which causes concern for Julian Lewis and the Buffaloes’ offense.
Final score: Baylor 31, Colorado 21
Oklahoma State vs. West Virginia

Oklahoma State beat Oregon in a shocker and then took down Murray State, 59-0, last weekend.
West Virginia is also playing great football, sitting at 3-0 on the season. The Mountaineers beat rival Virginia last weekend, 38-27, and there could be some offensive fireworks in this game. Both quarterbacks, Drew Mestemaker at Oklahoma State and Michael Hawkins at West Virginia, can be gamechangers.
Both teams should score on Saturday, but which team can survive the turnovers? Mestemaker has four picks on the season, while West Virginia is +2 on the turnover margin for the season.
Final score: West Virginia 38, Oklahoma State 34
