Biggest storylines to watch in Week 3 of Big Ten football
· Yahoo Sports
The Big Ten will seek bounce-back performances this week after last week's chaos. The USC Trojans will face their first Big Ten foe, and it is a team with NFL talent on offense. There won't be as much chaos as there was last week, but at least one upset will emerge.
Here is some big storylines to follow in the Big Ten in Week 3:

The Trojans defense vs. Rutgers rushing attack
The one thing Rutgers does well is run the football. Antwan Raymond is a special back, and he will give the Trojans a huge test on Saturday. The Trojans' run defense so far has been able to stifle its opponents. If they can make Rutgers one-dimensional, this match could get very ugly. I think the Trojans' run defense will hold up, and they will force Raymond to rush for less than 60 yards.
Northwestern will get in a shootout against Colorado
Colorado has serious talent at the quarterback position with Julian Lewis. Lewis, in the past week, threw for 4 touchdowns and 366 yards. Northwestern, with Chip Kelly, can generate a productive offensive day. I like both offenses to take turns putting up points, and this game ended up being the highest-scoring Big Ten game this weekend.
Michigan State will keep the game closer against Notre Dame than Wisconsin
Wisconsin put up a close fight in the first half, and in the second, the game got away from them. I think Michigan State will surprise Notre Dame this week. The Irish tend to play to the level of their competition, and that will allow the Spartans to give them a scare. The Irish will eventually pull away in the 4th quarter, but this game will just go to show how deep the Big Ten conference is.
Washington will finally have their explosive offensive day
The Washington Huskies have won games due to how good their defense has been. The explosion their offense played with last season has yet to be seen. This week, Demond Williams and the Huskies will light it up. The Huskies will put up a dominant offensive performance, cruising past Eastern Washington. This game will build great confidence for the Huskies heading into Big Ten play.
Nebraska will fall
The Cornhuskers will get in the way of one of these upcoming games and have their opponent get the best of them. I think that will be this week. North Dakota is heading into this game 3-0, and I think they will be the right team to expose what Nebraska has been able to get away with in the first few weeks.
