Aaron Rodgers Drops Verdict on DK Metcalf Before Steelers’ 2026 NFL Season
· Yahoo Sports
Aaron Rodgers has seen it all in his legendary (and still ongoing) NFL career, but the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback could have some surprises left for the rest of the league in what is expected to be his final season.
Rodgers still carries a huge responsibility at age 42, and Pittsburgh hopes he can deliver on the field and guide the franchise to the top of the league.

That is going to be easier said than done, but Rodgers remains a dependable signal-caller, considering his body of work in 2025 and the weapons the Steelers have surrounded him with.
For one, Pittsburgh added former USC Trojans star wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. into the mix via a trade in March with the Indianapolis Colts.
But more eyes could still be on Pittsburgh and Rodgers’ chief weapon in 2025.

Asked if he would’ve liked more time with WR Michael Pittman Jr., Aaron Rodgers said, “He was hurt, so it is what it is. We got to get him up to speed, but I feel great about — DK and Roman have had arguably 2 of the top probably 5 camps on the team. DK has looked unbelievable.”
Last season, Metcalf led the Steelers with 850 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 59 receptions and 99 targets through 15 games. It was not exactly the most productive numbers for a wide receiver in the NFL in 2025, with Metcalf also getting just a 20.4 percent target share, but there is no doubt that Rodgers will look for him a lot in the quarterback’s farewell campaign.
