Which Oklahoma State athletes could be impacted by Class of 2022 eligibility ruling?

When Judge Charlotte Sweeney of the U.S. District Court of Colorado ruled on Friday, July 31, that college athletes who graduated high school in 2022 who have exhausted their eligibility have an extra year, even more chaos hit the college athletics landscape.
The NCAA will appeal.
"They will suffer irreparable harm without issuance of an injunction. And the balance of equities, as well as the public interest, favor them. They are entitled to the injunctive relief they seek," Sweeney wrote in the decision.
So, what does that mean for OSU?
First, this does not impact the status of football player Iman Oates or basketball player Kashie Natt. Both have filed lawsuits seeking extra eligibility and have been granted injunctions but both also began their collegiate careers before 2022.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls could still get a boost with some returns of veteran presence across various sports.
Most notably, Fallah.
Fallah, the men’s basketball fan favorite who tore his ACL late last season, was a member of the 2021 class when he arrived in America during the school year, though delays in the immigration process delayed his enrollment at Southern Utah and forced him to redshirt.
He then played just a total of four seasons at Southern Utah, Oregon State and OSU.
Fallah was also recently included in an age-based lawsuit filed in California that included 45 athletes, all of whom were part of the 2022 class. It’s unclear if Fallah will be included in that ruling or have further legal battles.
The Cowgirls do have an open softball roster spot. It could even perhaps go to slugger Amanda Hasler, who was part of the 2022 class and led OSU in RBIs last spring. The thought of returning ace Ruby Meylan was nullified Sunday when Sweeney issued more clarification, including the NCAA not allowing pro athletes to return.
In football, linebacker Bryan McCoy is the lone player who would be eligible to return. Women’s basketball guard Micah Gray would be the only player on that roster eligible. Women’s golfer Grace Kilcrease also appears eligible for a return. Baseball could bring back pitcher Brennan Phillips.
But it remains unclear if those players will return, if there are roster spots or even if players from other schools who opt to return could transfer elsewhere.
Either way, the intrigue for some key players just increased.
