However, Brady also made it clear just how much the veteran receiver meant to Buffalo, leaving just enough room for the speculation to continue.

Joe Brady Stops Short of Ending Speculation on ‘Awesome’ Stefon Diggs
Diggs has found his name linked with a return to the Bills throughout the offseason after posting a photo of himself in a Buffalo uniform. Speaking with Kay Adams on ‘Up & Adams,’ Brady praised Diggs for the impact he had on both the Bills’ offense and Josh Allen’s development.
“Stef was awesome for us here. I mean, look, Stef, the success that he had in Buffalo, like part of the offense that I’m running and we’re continuing to elevate, it was him coming here and what he was able to do with our offense to continue to get us to this point, right?
“Josh wouldn’t have continued to elevate the career that he had without a guy like Stefon Diggs.”
When Adams followed up by asking whether the reunion buzz should be considered seriously, Brady avoided giving a direct answer.

“Yeah, I don’t know anything. I know Beane’s always with the mindset that he’s, look, we’re always out there and rolling,” Brady said.
Dion Dawkins and C.J. Gardner-Johnson have also joined in the hype, publicly backing the idea of bringing the former All-Pro wide receiver back.
Brady also expressed confidence in Buffalo’s current wide receiver room. “I love the way our receiver room is rolling right now and the confidence they’re playing with and the connection that they’re rolling with. So I’m excited for us to come out here and compete today.”
Diggs had an 82.9 grade in PFN’s Wide Receiver Impact Rankings last season with the New England Patriots, good enough for seventh in the league.
He spent four seasons in Buffalo after arriving in 2020. During that stretch, he caught 445 passes for 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns while becoming Josh Allen’s top target.
While Buffalo continues to be mentioned as a possible landing spot, the Bills have also shown confidence in their current group of receivers.
Veteran addition DJ Moore and rookie Skyler Bell have already made their presence felt early in training camp. The coaching staff also seems comfortable with the receivers already on the roster, even if general manager Brandon Beane continues to monitor the market.
Nonetheless, Diggs remains one of the biggest names available in free agency. He is coming off a 2025 season with the New England Patriots in which he racked up 1,013 receiving yards while helping the team reach the Super Bowl.
Several teams have been floated as potential destinations, including the Washington Commanders, Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts.
