Donald Trump showered with gifts during latest Los Angeles Dodgers White House visit

The Los Angeles Dodgers were back at the White House on Thursday. It was the second year in a row they made the trip after they beat the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 World Series.

President Donald Trump hosted the team in the revamped Rose Garden and was showered with gifts from the defending champions. At one point Trump was surprised with a World Series ring. Since it’s a golden ring, Trump seemed impressed. He also asked if he had to “report” the gift. Then he spoke directly into the microphone and reiterated that he didn’t want to report the gift.

Later Trump was joined in the Oval Office by Shohei Ohtani. You can see a Dodgers jersey and hat on desk. Meanwhile, Ohtani is holding a medal and white USA hat. Presumably, the World Series trophies were just there for the photo op and left with the Dodgers. Though they fit the decor so well he might have borrowed them.
During his speech Trump was very proud that he nailed the pronunciation of Andy Pages while talking about his catch in Game 7. He explained that he knew how to pronounce Pages, “because the Y is an H.”
He also asked if Clayton Kershaw was still pitching well this season. When told Kershaw was spending time with his family instead, Trump asked if he would be ready to go if the team needed him this season. Kershaw shut that down immediately, so keep that in mind if any of the Dodgers pitchers get injured during the stretch run.

The top of the piece is a literal statement of the season’s success, featuring 32 diamonds spelling out “WORLD” and 54 diamonds for “CHAMPIONS.” At the center, the iconic “LA” logo is set with 17 custom-cut blue sapphires, representing the 17 postseason games it took to secure the trophy.
I couldn’t find exact information on the value of the ring, but it is somewhere in the tens of thousands of dollars range. Even if you have the money, it would probably be difficult to get one so maybe you should just settle for a replica on eBay for like $26. Or you could just invite them over to hang out in your garden and they might just bring you one.
