But it appears the star forward is going to be OK.

“Christian will be fine‚" Tyler Adams told reporters on Monday, via The Athletic’s Tom Bogert.

Pulisic surprisingly substituted out of the game at halftime with the U.S. up 3-0. There was no obvious sign of injury or a play that indicated Pulisic was hurt. And with sideline reporter Jenny Taft not getting any additional information from the bench, it left U.S. fans feeling uneasy about something serious.

American manager Mauricio Pochettino told FOX that the star forward felt tightness in his calf at halftime after being kicked in it.

With a three-goal lead, the manager elected to go the cautious route.

“I’m staying positive, I don’t think it’s anything,” Pulisic said after the game.

The United States, who beat Paraguay 4-0 in its first match of the tournament, returns to World Cup action when it takes on Australia in Seattle.
