In recent tense days, during which the coach has met with the owners, the intention to retain several players who could end their time at the club on June 30th has emerged.

The first name on the list is Lorenzo Pellegrini.

The Giallorossi’s number 7 has also sided with his coach this week and is willing to lower his salary. The former captain has won over Gasperini both physically and personally.

Pellegrini could remain at Roma despite his contract expiring on June 30th.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations regarding the renewal of the Giallorossi’s number 7 could resume soon and lead to a definitive agreement.

A similar situation exists for Mancini and Cristante, who already had a verbal agreement, but the Friedkins, given the club’s poor results, have put a hold on everything.

There are also glimmers of hope for a renewal for Paulo Dybala. The Argentine star is expected to halve his salary to around €3 million.

“La Joya” is also reportedly receiving support from Adidas ahead of the centenary season. Offers from Boca Juniors and a Turkish club have been frozen, with his continued stay in Italy remaining the priority.

Celik, on the other hand, continues to demand an exorbitant fee for the Friedkins (€4 million).

El Shaarawy will leave Roma, after failing to establish a strong relationship with Gasperini.
