Pittsburgh shatters first-round attendance record at 2026 NFL Draft

As announced by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Thursday night, the city of Pittsburgh set the NFL Draft first-round attendance record with a whopping 320,000 fans attending the event.

That figure shattered the previous record of 275,000-plus set by the city of Detroit in 2024.
Pittsburgh split its draft activities across two locations in 2026, with the “theatre” on the North Shore by Acrisure Stadium, and a free fan festival at Point State Park across the Allegheny River.
The NFL Draft will continue on Friday for Rounds 2-3, starting at 7 p.m. EST. Saturday will contain Rounds 4-7, starting at noon.
In front of a home crowd Friday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Arizona State right tackle Max Iheanachor with the No. 21 pick.
