LeBron James has surely given constructive criticism to every one of the teammates he has played with in the NBA.
Not all of those teammates were his son, though, and that's what makes Bronny James different with the Los Angeles Lakers.
LeBron is playing in the league with his oldest child. It's remarkable, but it also creates some fascinating dynamics.
That included Sunday night against the Dallas Mavericks, when Bronny tried to toss a pass to his dad that got knocked away.
LeBron, looking a bit frustrated, looked at Bronny and gestured that he should've been trying a bounce pass to get the ball to the King.

That's certainly not something you see every day. But to be fair to LeBron, he's right — the lobbed pass there rarely works.
To make it long-term in the NBA, Bronny is going to have to do the little things well. Maybe he is benefiting right now simply from being LeBron's son.
Soon, LeBron will be retired, and Bronny's chances in the league will come down entirely to his own merit.
Things like passing, shooting and ball-handling will make or break it for Bronny.
For now, with the Lakers missing both Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, Bronny is going to get playing time, and he'll have to maximize it.
