Ronda Rousey's return likely a one-and-done deal

Former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will return to competition after a decade on May 16, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. "Rowdy" will face fellow women's MMA pioneer Gina Carano under Most Valuable Promotions.

Rousey, 39, last fought in December 2016. Carano, 43, hasn’t fought since August 2009, but they're both still household names. For Rousey, the return is likely a one-and-done deal.

"I guess it depends on how this one goes," Rousey answered when asked if there were more fights in her future during the Rousey vs. Carano Kickoff Press Conference.

"But man, I really want some more babies. And it's getting to the point in my life where I can't really be taking anymore detours and I really want to be fully present for my, you know, my husband and my kids. And it gets to the point where it's like when are you going to be impressed enough with yourself to send some time with your family," continued Rousey.

"I feel like this is me trying to rewrite my ending with Gina and maybe it's like a Lord of the Rings ending that keeps going on and on and on, or maybe it's a grand finale ... But I promised my husband this was definitely the last one."
