Michigan State basketball has opened as a heavy favorite in their first round matchup of the NCAA Tournament.

According to FanDuel, No. 3 seed Michigan State is listed as a 16.5-point favorite against No. 14 seed North Dakota State in Thursday's first round matchup from Buffalo, N.Y. Additionally, the over/under total is set at 143.5 points.

Michigan State enters the NCAA Tournament looking to get things back on track after losing their last two games. The Spartans finished the season with an overall record of 25-7, and unfortunately slipped to the No. 3 seed in the East Region late in the bracketing process.
North Dakota State comes into the tournament with plenty of momentum out of the Summit League. The Bison are 17-2 since New Year's Eve, and earned their way into the NCAA Tournament by capturing the Summit League conference tournament title.
The winner of this matchup between Michigan State and North Dakota State will play the winner of the No. 6 seed Louisville and No. 11 seed South Florida in the second round on Saturday.
Tipoff is scheduled for approximately 4:05 p.m. ET on Thursday. The game will be televised on TNT.
