LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball bounced back from a disappointing loss days earlier, with a 69-56 win on Monday at home against Houston.
The No. 14 Jayhawks (21-7, 11-4 in Big 12) weathered a tough start to the game in order to lead 31-27 at halftime. In the second half, KU took control and never let the No. 4 Cougars (23-5, 11-4) garner much momentum. Kansas also led by as many as 20 points in the second half.

KU was led in scoring by senior Tre White’s 23 points. Sophomore Bryson Tiller added a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. With the victory, Kansas rebounded from Saturday's loss at home against Cincinnati.
Kansas now has some time to recover and prepare for what’ll be one of the more challenging games it’ll play this season, this upcoming Saturday on the road against No. 2 Arizona. KU won’t have the advantage of Allen Fieldhouse this time, as it did earlier this season when it beat Arizona at home. It’s a game that’ll mean a lot for the race for the Big 12 regular season title.
