The 2026 Winter Olympics will officially conclude this afternoon with the closing ceremony.

Unlike the opening ceremony, the closing will not take place in Milan; instead, it will be at the Roman Arena in Verona, about 104 miles from the city. Verona will also host the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games.

The ceremony will have the theme "Beauty in Action," and will pay tribute to all participants before the traditional handover ceremony. Similar to the opening ceremony, the closing will feature the parade of athletes. Later on in the night, the Olympic torch will be extinguished and the Olympic flag will be handed over to the 2030 hosts, France.
