Ben Shelton suggests how he feels about Trinity Rodman watching his matches

Ben Shelton is clearly enjoying his tennis on the ATP Tour right now, where he has been supported by his girlfriend Trinity Rodman.

Shelton has been playing with a smile on his face, while Rodman has also been enjoying her success in soccer.

She currently plays for the Washington Spirit in the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as the United States national team.

But she’s also been spending time supporting Shelton, most recently at the Dallas Open, where he just knocked out Denis Shapovalov.

Ben Shelton suggests Trinity Rodman is a good-luck charm

Rodman was in attendance for the Dallas semifinal, after which Shelton suggested she has been a good-luck charm.

“This is the second tournament that my girlfriend has shown up on the semi-finals day,” he said.

“I’m 2-0 in semis when she shows up for that, so happy Valentine’s Day!”

The 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(7-4) comeback win has set up a final with Taylor Fritz, ahead of which the American pair have beaten each other once.

Shelton’s endeavours with Rodman certainly didn’t stop there, with the pair sharing a dance right after his win.

She recently persuaded US national team coach Emma Hayes to join her in a celebratory dance after one of her goals.

Rodman has just done the same with Shelton, who ruled his father and coach Bryan Shelton out of joining in.

He said: “I think there’s a better chance of a lot of things in life.

“I think that’s one thing that would never happen, so that’s not something I would even ask.”

It’s been a fine week for both Fritz and Shelton, who are currently the only men in the top 10 of the world rankings.

The former is seventh and the latter is ninth, although world number 23 Learner Tien is certainly on the up.

Tommy Paul is one spot further down the rankings in 24th, while Brandon Nakashima and Frances Tiafoe are both in the Top 30.
