The state girls volleyball and field hockey tournaments continue with second-round and quarterfinal-round games Saturday, Nov. 7.

Semifinal matchups set in DIAA Division I Field Hockey Tournament

The DIAA Division I Field Hockey Tournament is down to its final four.

The semifinals will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at the DE Turf Sports Complex. Here are the matchups.

  • No. 6 Milford (9-7) vs. No. 2 Caesar Rodney (13-3), 4 p.m.
  • No. 4 Smyrna (12-4) vs. No. 1 Cape Henlopen (16-0), 6 p.m.

Caesar Rodney's three losses came to the other three semifinalists. Milford defeated the Riders 4-2 on Sept. 10.

The second semifinal is a rematch of the previous five D-I title games. Smyrna won last year's championship 1-0 in double overtime. In this year's regular season, the Vikings beat the Eagles 2-1 in overtime on Sept. 24.

DIAA Division II Field Hockey Quarterfinals

The Division II field hockey tournament continues Saturday, Nov. 7 with the quarterfinals. All games begin at 11:30 a.m. Here are the matchups:

  • No. 9 Ursuline (11-5) at No. 1 Tower Hill (14-1)
  • No. 5 Indian River (13-3) at No. 4 Archmere (11-4)
  • No. 7 Concord (12-4) at No. 2 Newark Charter (13-2)
  • No. 6 Wilmington Friends (13-3) at No. 3 Caravel (11-4)

What to know about the DIAA boys soccer tournaments

Salesianum and Newark Charter secured the top seeds in the DIAA boys soccer tournaments.

The first matches are slated for Tuesday, Nov. 10. Here is the schedule for the opening rounds of the tournaments next week.
