Just when you thought Brandon Aiyuk wouldn't be making headlines again in the 2026 NFL season, there was some news on Wednesday: Aiyuk's new agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN that the wideout will report to the San Francisco 49ers' training facility on Friday.

That's quite the twist considering that he basically social media'd himself into being placed on the reserve/did not report list after an offseason full of very public talk about not wanting to be a Niner.

So he's applying for reinstatement, and then the 49ers can decide what to do. Does this mean they could trade him before Tuesday's NFL trade deadline? Release him altogether? No word on that just yet.

But if you're a fantasy football manager, you might wonder if you should roster him right now as a free agent.

Should you pick up Brandon Aiyuk in fantasy football?

I guess in the deepest of leagues, sure. But even if he joins a new team, will he make an impact as he's been recovering from an injury and then not playing?
