Cornell attackman and 2026 Tewaaraton Finalist Willem Firth has committed to Johns Hopkins for his grad transfer year in the spring of 2028, he confirmed to Inside Lacrosse on Monday night.

After putting up 52 goals and 29 assists as a junior last spring, Firth was one of the most sought after players in the NCAA Transfer Portal. He now heads to Homewood where he reconnects with a coaching staff with Big Red blood, namely head coach Peter Milliman and assistant Chayse Ierlan.

The news comes on the heels of IL reporting that SMU added six players to its inaugural class earlier on Monday.

Additionally, a trio of Penn grad transfers confirmed their selections to IL over the weekend.

Attackman Davis Provost committed to Virginia. The lefty put up 32 goals and 11 assists in 13 games for the Quakers this spring.

Middie Ben Beacham and SSDM Anthony McMullan both committed to Notre Dame. Beacham had a breakout spring in his first year as a starter, posting 16 goals and eight assists in 12 games for the Quakers, while McMullan, an imposing athlete at 6-foot-2, picked up 45 GBs and caused eight turnovers in 2026.
