Jon Sumrall was a frustrated man after the defeat, but made sure to thank the fans for their support.

“I’m grateful for our fan turnout. Grateful for our fan base. I promise you, we’re going to get this right. I commit to giving everything I have for us to get this right. And I’m not OK with today. I’m not going to whine and complain. We gotta get better. And so I’m sick over it… We gotta go back to work. And it’s the only way that’s going to make us better, is us picking ourselves up and going back to work,” Sumrall said postgame.

Fans reacted to his comments, with one saying, “This program is dead! No juice whatsoever.”

Jon Sumrall Explained the Loss in More Detail

During his postgame press conference, Jon Sumrall explained in detail what he felt went wrong in the game against Georgia, focusing on the offense.

“I felt bad for both quarterbacks at times because I don’t know that either one of them independently played good enough for us to win the game, but I don’t know that it’s really fully fair to evaluate either one of them fully because I don’t think there was enough help around them,” he said, as reported by Gators Wire.

Florida committed four turnovers and allowed four sacks as it struggled to sustain drives. The Gators had just 48 rushing yards, while Georgia had 217.

Florida has a chance to get back to winning ways against Oklahoma on Saturday.
