Packers’ Josh Jacobs Had an ‘Interesting’ Comment Ahead of His First Lambeau Field Game in 2026 Season

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has finally seen action in the 2026 NFL season after getting removed from the NFL’s commissioner exempt list.
Jacobs missed the first six weeks of the season while he was placed on that list, stemming from his arrest in the offseason over misdemeanor charges after an altercation with his then-girlfriend in May.

The three-time Pro Bowl tailback returned to action in Green Bay’s Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit, and he’s about to make his first appearance at Lambeau Field in Green Bay for a Week 8 Thursday Night Football showdown against the visiting Carolina Panthers.
“It’s going to be interesting. Obviously, like primetime, Lambeau Field, Thursday night, it’s gonna be electric,” the former Alabama Crimson Tide star running back told reporters via ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. “Looking forward to seeing our fans. Going out there and playing some good ball.”
Josh Jacobs said he watched the games from home during his time on the commissioner exempt list, so Thursday will be his first time this season in Lambeau Field on game day.
“It’s going to be interesting,” he said.

Will Jacobs, Packers’ Rushing Attack Shine in Week 8?

It will be interesting to see what kind of reception Jacobs will get from Packers fans. He was booed by Detroit fans in Week 7, and he could hear the same thing from at least a few fans in Green Bay.
In any case, Jacobs is expected to help Green Bay’s run game that has been arguably the worst in the NFL thus far.
The Packers are averaging fewer than 60 rushing yards per game and are also last in the NFL with only 2.9 yards per carry.
Against the Lions, Jacobs and company came up with only 60 rushing yards on 19 carries. Jacobs had 36 rushing yards on 11 carries in that contest.
However, there is a reason to believe that Green Bay will have a great night on the ground versus the Panthers, as Carolina is allowing over 150 rushing yards per game.
