Millville (Utah) Ridgeline running back and Utah State commit Noah Fiefia picked up an offer from Utah over the weekend and the Utes could be one to watch moving forward.

Fiefie is having a monster senior season and colleges are taking notice. In addition to Utah, schools like BYU, Colorado State, Oregon State and Washington State are now recruiting the talented back as well. Fiefie had a chance to attend the Utah-Houston game over the weekend and walked away with a scholarship offer.

“I was told to come early to come talk to Coach Atuaia (RB coach),” Fiefie said. “I honestly didn’t really think much of it and then as we were talking, he told me he was offering a scholarship and I was very thankful for it.

“He told me it was because of my hard work and also that I’m going on a Mission (LDS). “I just went in expecting a normal conversation. I thought there was a chance I could get the offer but wanted to keep my expectations down so I wouldn’t be disappointed if it didn’t happen. Utah is a great school so I was really excited.”

Fiefie said he definitely has high interest in Utah but doesn’t appear to be in any hurry to make a quick decision.

“Right now, my main focus is on my high school season and trying to win that state title,” Fiefie said. “I know many other opportunities could arise just like the one I’ve been given (from Utah) and if so I’ll be open to any of them.

“Utah is obviously a great school and they’re looking really good right now. I know decisions are going to have to be made but I don’t get the sense they need a quick decision from me. It seems like they’re going to let me take some time and think it over so that’s what I’m planning to do.”

Through 10 games this season, Fiefie has put up video game numbers for one of the state’s top teams. he has rushed for 2,151 yards and 36 touchdowns while averaging a little over 10 yards a carry. He has a nice combination of quickness and power and impressed us at the Under Armour Camp in Utah back in April.

He’s a well-built 6-foot-1, 210 pounds, and tested well with a 4.68-40, 4.3 shuttle and jumped 30″ in the vertical. He’s a threat out of the backfield as well and is a true every down back who can play in any situation and fits any type of scheme.
