The former Brentford talisman has started all seven league outings and both Champions League fixtures, a feat that he’ll be aiming to extend by retaining his place for tomorrow’s clash with Como in Italy.
He has yet to open his account in the UCL, so he will be chomping at the bit to etch his name onto the scoresheet on the European stage for the first time.

“Bryan gives so much to the team. He sacrifices so much; he is willing to do anything that needs to be done to benefit the side, defensively or going forward,” said Carrick.

“It was a slightly adapted role today, but he just wants to do well. He is scoring goals and could have had another one before. He is getting in really good positions and is looking really dangerous for us.”
