Jeff Ekhator is yet to make a competitive appearance for Juventus after joining the Bianconeri from Genoa in the summer. The teenager suffered an injury during pre-season and then experienced another setback just as he was approaching a return, delaying the start of his career in Turin.

Juventus signed Ekhator with the long term in mind, but his return could come at an important moment for the club. With Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade struggling to meet expectations, the young striker may have an opportunity to compete for a starting place sooner than anticipated.

Juventus wait for Ekhator’s return

Ekhator is regarded as one of the most promising teenage strikers in Italian football, and several clubs were reportedly interested in signing him before Juventus secured his arrival. The Bianconeri saw potential in bringing him into their squad, making his injury problems an unfortunate setback.

The club had not expected him to be sidelined so soon after joining, and his absence has delayed the chance to assess what he can contribute on the pitch. Juventus are now focused on helping him recover fully before introducing him to competitive action.

Ekhator could contribute before the year ends

According to Calciomercato, Juventus currently expect Ekhator to return either towards the end of October or at the beginning of November. The club believes he could begin making important contributions by late November or in December, provided his recovery progresses as hoped.

Those timelines would give the teenager an opportunity to become involved during a crucial period of the season. If he returns in good condition, he could offer Juventus another option in attack and provide competition for the forwards already in the squad.

However, the Bianconeri are keen to avoid rushing him back. After suffering an initial injury and a subsequent setback, the priority is to ensure he is fully ready before he resumes playing.

Juventus will hope Ekhator can finally begin his career with the club without further interruptions. His potential remains an important part of their plans, and a successful return could give the teenager an opportunity to show why they were so keen to sign him.
