Chargers make roster moves ahead of battle with Broncos

On Saturday afternoon, the Chargers announced a series of roster moves ahead of their Week Five tilt with the Denver Broncos.

Firstly, the team is activated both fullback Scott Matlock and offensive lineman Branson Taylor from the reserve/injured list. Both players have been on IR throug the first four weeks of the season.

In a corresponding move, the Chargers are placing backup quarterback Trey Lance and offensive guard Trevor Penning on IR. With left tackle Rashawn Slater being place on IR earlier in the week, the team is using his freed-up spot to sign wideout Theo Wease to the active roster, as well.

The Chargers are also elevating offensive tackle Daniel Brunskill and cornerback Isas Waxter to the game day roster. This will be the first of two elevations for each player.
