Scholarship winners and tournament champions will also be recognized at this time, as well as high school state tournament qualifiers. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m.

Here is a look at the inductees:

Dave Sheppard

Sheppard began playing golf at 16 in 1971 and molded himself into one of the Zanesville area's most consistent players, making the final-round cut in the ZDGA Amateur 30 consecutive times since 1984. He played his first in 1979.

He has made six career holes-in-one, of which one came on No. 5 at the 1998 Amateur. He also won three consecutive Senior Flight championships in the age 55-59 division in the ZDGA Senior Amateur from 2009-11 and posted multiple runner-up finishes. He continues to compete in the Super Seniors Division, where he has produced four consecutive titles from 2023-26.

Sheppard retired from The Energy Cooperative in 2020. He and wife Peggy have been married 47 years and have two children (Jocelyn Cosgrave and Ryan Sheppard) and four grandchildren.

Mike Walters

Walters, a 1986 Maysville graduate, lettered three years in golf and baseball and two years in basketball for the Panthers. He earned All-Muskingum Valley League twice and All-East District twice in golf before spending two years at Ohio University.

Walters played in several ZDGA Amateurs and was part of multiple Century National Bank Cup teams that played annually against Coshocton County. He remains a valuable member of the ZDGA Board of Directors.

Away from golf, he has been a high school basketball official for 17 years, spent 31 years as a volunteer with the South Zanesville Fire Department and devoted several years with the Maysville Athletic Boosters, including eight years as its president.

He has three children — Andrew Walters, Doug Dodson and Kayla Hinkle — and seven grandchildren. He is a son of Dick and MaryLou Walters.
