Seahawks-49ers Wednesday injury report: Leonard Williams practices
· Yahoo Sports
The first injury report leading up to the Week 5 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers is out. The biggest news on the Seattle Seahawks side is that defensive tackle Leonard Williams is a limited participant with an ankle injury that he suffered late in the game last week. This is welcome news and will be something to monitor the rest of the week. When asked if Williams can play against the 49ers, head coach Mike Macdonald stated that “we’re optimistic for the game.”
The other names to keep an eye on throughout the week include linebacker Chazz Surratt, who did not practice with a calf injury. Right guard Beau Stephens (knee), cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett (ankle) linebacker Tyrice Knight (ankle), and running back George Holani (ribs) were all limited participants as well.

Running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) was limited in practice again this week as he works his way back from the PUP list. Macdonald noted that Charbonnet will get team reps this week but that he will not play against the 49ers. The other new name that is exciting news is wide receiver, and special teamer Irv Charles, who was limited in practice as well. Charles was placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury, but has since been designated to return to practice. He too has a 21-day window to practice before the team decides to activate him to the active roster or shut him down for the season.
Ty Okada (hamstring) and Patrick O’Connell (thumb) were full participants in practice. Meanwhile Jaxon Smith-Njigba (veteran rest day) did not practice.
As for the 49ers, edge rusher Nick Bosa and fullback Kyle Juszczyk did not practice due to injury, however, neither is expected to play against Seattle. However, some other names who sat out practice and are worth keeping an eye on are safety Marques Sigle (ankle), cornerback Upton Stout (shoulder), and defensive tackle James Thompson (ankle).
