Junior center Ramiya White suffered a lower-body injury on Sunday, Oct. 4, coach Jeff Mittie announced. The announcement follows K-State saying that sophomore guard Brandie Harrod would miss the season with an injury on Sept. 30.
"Ramiya White was involved in a scooter accident on Sunday," Mittie said in a statement. "She sustained injuries to her lower leg that required surgery. Unfortunately, she will miss the entire 2026-27 season. We are thankful that it wasn't worse and will support Ramiya in her recovery for next season."
The Louisville product made her debut with the Wildcats in 2025-26 and started four games after transferring from Virginia Tech. She averaged 1.7 points on 51.7% shooting and grabbed 52 rebounds in 28 games.
The Wildcats had already lost Harrod for the season, who started 33 of 37 games last year, averaging 6.1 points on 43.1% shooting, along with an average of 4.8 rebounds and 49 total steals.
Kansas State women's basketball opens its 2026-27 season against Wichita State on Monday, Nov. 2, at 6:30 p.m. at Bramlage Coliseum.
