The Denver Broncos are preparing for a Week 5 showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers on the road after suffering a tough 24-14 loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Santa Clara.

Making that loss to the Niners worse were the injuries to some of their players, with Denver’s starting cornerbacks, two-time All-Pro Patrick Surtain II and Riley Moss, both knocked out of the contest.
The offense also took a hit, as wide receiver Pat Bryant exited the game with an ankle injury. Her had 47 receiving yards on three catches and three targets before sustaining the injury.
Bryant’s injury will not end his season, but he is expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks.

Denver signed wide receiver Cam Ross to the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday. The Broncos released outside linebacker Jahfari Harvey from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
The 25-year-old Ross did not hear his name called in the 2026 NFL Draft, but he later signed a with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent. He was later cut by Denver, but is now reuniting with the franchise, with the potential to be elevated to the main roster.
Ross played college football for the UConn, James Madison and Virginia. In his lone season with the Cavaliers in 2025, he recorded 543 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 53 receptions.
Denver, which is 2-2 after four weeks, is just 20th in the league with the Bo Nix-led passing attack averaging only 199.0 yards per game.
