Following are the candidates for The Register-Herald Athlete of the Week (in alphabetical order):

Keshawn Bland, Greenbrier East football. Bland scored all four of his touchdowns inside the final five minutes of regulation and in overtime in leading the Spartans to a come-from-behind 34-28 win over Shady Spring. Bland finished with his first career 100-yard game with 157 yards on 25 carries.
Lydia Dunlap, James Monroe volleyball. Dunlap had 34 kills, 39 serve receives, 2 1/2 blocks and 32 digs en route to all-tournament status at the Queen of the Hill Tournament, where the Mavericks fell in the championship to Herbert Hoover.
Brock Green, Independence football. Green completed 17 of 22 passes for 363 yards and four touchdowns and scored a rushing touchdown in the Patriots’ 52-21 win over James Monroe.
Hagen Hall, Woodrow Wilson boys soccer. Hall scored four goals and had two assists in an 12-2 win over Oak Hill.
Bella Holly, Oak Hill girls soccer. Holly became Oak Hill’s all-time career goals leader with 110 while scoring five in a 7-1 win over Herbert Hoover.
Fawkes O’Dell, Richwood football. O’Dell scored all three Lumberjack touchdowns, running 21 times for 243 yards and two scores and adding a receiving touchdown, and had an interception on defense, in a 20-13 win over Tygarts Valley.
Jaxson Workman, Liberty football. Workman ran 26 times for 164 yards and four touchdowns and completed 6 of 8 passes for a pair of touchdowns in the Raiders’ statement 56-22 victory over Class AA No. 4 Westside.
Honorable mention goes to: Raelyn Carr, Shady Spring girls cross country (win at PikeView Invitational in a time of 21:58.2); Myles Clark, Shady Spring football (13 of 27, 323 yards, 3 TDs); Ethan Dowdy, Shady Spring boys cross country (win at PikeView Invitational in a time of 17:11.0); Allie Fragile, Shady Spring volleyball (all-tournament team at Queen of the Hill Tournament, now sits at 919 career kills); Macy Pitzer, James Monroe volleyball (13 aces, 66 serve receives, 13 assists and 33 digs, all-tournament team at Queen of the Hill Tournament); Gage Spears, Shady Spring football (seven receptions, 207 yards, 2 TDs); Carson Treadway, Independence football (five receptions, 136 yards, one TD);
