USC Trojans lose starting wide receiver for season with knee injury
· Yahoo Sports
The USC Trojans will be without starting wide receiver Corey Simms for the rest of the season after he suffered a knee injury, according to Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of CBS Sports.
Simms played USC's first four games of the season before missing last week's game against the Oregon Ducks. He made the first three starts os his career before his season came to an early end. The sophomore is fourth on the team with 12 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown.

He had the best game of his career against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, catching four passes for 72 yards and the first touchdown of his career. He played in all 13 games last year as a true freshman, but his biggest contributions were on special teams, with him catching just one pass for six yards.
His absence puts even more pressure on USC quarterback Jayden Maiava and the rest of the offense. Freshman wide receiver Trent Mosley, who has missed the past two games, was listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report ahead of this weekend's game against Washington. He has 13 receptions for 255 yards and a team-high four touchdown receptions.
USC (4-1, 1-1 Big Ten) is looking to bounce back from its 41-27 loss to Oregon on Saturday when they host the Washington Huskies (3-1, 0-1). The game is set to start at 4:30 p.m. PT and will air on NBC.
