The E-N's Game of the Week is a pivotal District 13-4A-I matchup between Kerrville Tivy and Davenport, which could play a large role in deciding a district champion. Davenport has been consistently one of San Antonio's best 4A programs, while Tivy is trying to make a strong return to 4A.

Setting the scene: Tivy's high-powered offense is already averaging 65 points per game. In last week's district opening victory over Austin LBJ, Kerrville Tivy sophomore quarterback Cohen Stehling set a new school record for most passing yards in a single game with 515, surpassing the previous record of 503 yards set by Heisman winner Johnny Manziel in 2010.
Key to victory: Stehling has quickly proven himself to be a prolific passer, and he has a duo of solid receivers in twin brothers Kenyon and Kyrin Armelin. The Armelins received offers to play for Oklahoma and Texas A&M in September. Another big night from Tivy's passing game could overwhelm Davenport's secondary.

Davenport breakdown
Setting the scene: Davenport opened district play with a 56-41 victory over Canyon Lake last week. The Wolves quickly established themselves as one of the area's top 4A programs since playing its first varsity season in 2021.
Key to victory: Davenport's offense this year looks different after the graduation of Barrett Fallon, who rushed for 2,032 yards and 41 touchdowns last season. On paper, the Wolves appear to have a more balanced offense this year, which could be advantageous. The Davenport defense will also need to find ways to keep Tivy's offense off the field.
