Colts vs. Texans Week 3 Injury Report: One Out, One Questionable

The Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans have completed the on-field portion of their preparation for Sunday's matchup, and unfortunately, injuries will be a factor in this one.

Both teams will be without their top receivers, as the Colts' Alec Pierce will be placed on Injured Reserve with a heel injury, and Houston's Nico Collins will miss a second consecutive game with a hamstring injury.
Otherwise, the injury report is rather generous for the Colts, but not as much for the Texans.
Here is how both teams' health is shaping up ahead of Sunday afternoon's matchup.

QUESTIONABLE — CB Charvarius Ward Sr. (groin)
Both Pierce and Dulin being out limits the Colts' proven deep threats and gives a definitive hit to their receiving depth. However, the Colts could lean on rookie Deion Burks to provide some pressure on Houston's secondary downfield. They could also call up Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad, as he's been able to exploit defenses deep throughout his career.
Ward's on an upward trajectory toward playing after increasing his usage all week, but if he cannot go on Sunday, Justin Walley would likely kick outside from the nickel, while Cam Taylor-Britt fills Walley's inside role.

Ingram's absence and Brown's status are noteworthy for an already-struggling offensive line that's given up seven sacks through two games and whose running backs are only averaging 2.8 yards per carry. If Brown can't go on Sunday, Blake Fisher is listed as the team's backup right tackle. Ingram played nearly 80 snaps for Houston in Week 1.
Collins is the most significant absence after missing last week's game. He averages 4.7 catches for 89.4 yards per game in his career against the Colts.
