FIA issues Ferrari verdict after Azerbaijan GP curfew breach

The FIA has issued an update on three Formula 1 teams that broke curfew on Thursday night at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Ferrari, Racing Bulls and Haas were all noted for being in the confines of the circuit during the 12-and-a-half-hour curfew period imposed by the governing body.

However, teams are allowed four breaches per season, and for all three teams, their Baku breaches fell within that number.
FIA confirms no action against Ferrari
A statement read: “Last night team personnel of the Scuderia Ferrari HP team, who are associated with the operation of the car, were within the confines of the circuit during the twelve and a half (12.5) hour period which commenced at 21:00 on 24 September, fifteen and a half (15.5) hours before the scheduled start time of P3 and ends three (3) hours before the scheduled start time of P3 at 09:30 on 25 September.
“This was the second (2) of the four (4) individual exceptions permitted for the Scuderia Ferrari HP team during the 2026 Formula One Championship season and therefore no action should be taken.”
Racing Bulls and Haas also breach Baku curfew
The FIA then added on the other two breaches: “Last night team personnel of the VISA Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team and the TGR Haas F1 Team, who are associated with the operation of the car, were within the confines of the circuit during the twelve and a half (12.5) hour period which commenced at 21:00 on 24 September, fifteen and a half (15.5) hours before the scheduled start time of P3 and ends three (3) hours before the scheduled start time of P3 at 09:30 on 25 September.
“This was the third (3) of the four (4) individual exceptions permitted for the VISA Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team and the TGR Haas F1 Team during the 2026 Formula One Championship season and therefore no action should be taken.”
