In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Arsenal have been offered a chance to sign Barcelona playmaker Dani Olmo. It is believed that the Gunners would have to compete with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign the Spanish international next year.
Olmo’s Impressive Form In La Liga
Olmo enjoyed a good run of form at the Catalan club in the previous campaign when he produced a lot of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Spanish sensation found the back of the net eight times and secured ten assists in 49 matches for Barcelona last season in various competitions.

The 28-year-old is currently one of the most talented playmakers in La Liga. Thus, it is no wonder that the Gunners are in the running to secure his services next year.
His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for Arsenal to sign him on a cut-price deal this January or at the end of this campaign.

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Go For Olmo?
Olmo can engineer a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal and usually generates some power with his shot attempts. He has the vision to create a few promising chances for his teammates to score and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Spanish talent can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of crucial goals for his team. Olmo mainly functions as an attacking midfielder but can also play as a box-to-box midfielder or as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical demands and high intensity of the Premier League.
We can expect Olmo to improve the quality of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium.
At 28, Olmo is playing in his prime, which makes him a worthy target for the North London club to consider next year. Hence, Arteta would be wise to go for a playmaker with his skill set this January or at the end of this season.
