During her four-year career starring for the LSU women’s basketball team from 2022-2026, Flau’jae Johnson became a fan-favorite and instant icon. She won a national championship as a freshman and was a two-time All-American.
After college basketball success, Flau’jae was selected by the Seattle Storm with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Despite moving on to the pros, Flau’jae has stayed loyal to the Tigers, which is why she had everyone turning heads ahead of the Storm’s WNBA regular season finale on Wednesday night.

Flau’jae pulled up to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on Wednesday decked out head-to-toe in Ole Miss gear. That’s because she placed a bet on last weekend’s college football game between the Rebels and Tigers, and came out on the losing end.
When Flau’jae posed for the camera in her Rebels threads, she made sure she was still repping the Tigers by throwing up the LSU hand sign.

Flau’jae Johnson Reps Ole Miss After Losing Bet

Flau’jae’s mom and manager, Kia J. Brooks, also shared a behind-the-scenes video of Flau’jae in her Ole Miss gear, while joking that she warned her daughter about the dangers of the friendly wager.
“Told my child not to bet her friends,” she wrote. “Now she has to wear a whole other university’s gear walking down the tunnel for her last game of the season.”
We haven’t learned who the bet was against, but it’s all love.
As for her on-court success, Flau’jae picked up right where she left off at LSU while making the transition to the W. She is averaging 14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists for the Storm, and is already one of the franchise’s biggest stars.
