The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles are playing the first game of a doubleheader at Camden Yards this afternoon.

As of this writing, the Orioles lead 4-2 in the top of the seventh inning.
Both clubs' postseason hopes are on the line.
"The Blue Jays and Orioles each have an elimination number of 1. That means the loser of Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader will be eliminated from postseason contention," MLB.com's Jake Rill wrote on X.
"Both teams could be eliminated by the end of the night," Rill added.
If the Orioles hang on to win the first game of the doubleheader, the Blue Jays will be eliminated from postseason contention.
Still, Toronto can do the same to Baltimore with a victory in tonight's matchup.
Regardless, neither AL East club entered the day with not-so-great playoff odds.

The Blue Jays are four games behind the Chicago White Sox for the third and final AL Wild Card spot with five games left on their schedule, including Game 1 of the doubleheader.
The Orioles, five games behind the White Sox, are in an even tougher spot.
They need to win all of their remaining games and hope Chicago loses five consecutive games to the Kansas City Royals and Colorado Rockies.
