It was an up-and-down outing for the Jacksonville Jaguars' offensive line unit in the team's Week 2 loss in Denver.

There were positives, but also negatives. And as is often the case, no single player or issue caused the miscues; rather, it was a culmination.
"I thought in the run game it was a little bit better then it maybe felt at times," Liam Coen said on Monday. "I think we had some decent movement. I thought we handled some movement well and some pressures decent."
In the run game, the Jaguars, specifically, Bhayshul Tuten, was able to find some success. On just 13 carries, he totaled 65 rushing yards, averaging 5.0 yards per attempt.
However, pass protection is where the bigger issue was. According to Pro Football Focus, Trevor Lawrence was under duress on 35.5% of his dropbacks. He was sacked twice, but hit seven times.
That pressure proved to be crucial for the Denver defense. When Lawrence had time, he and the passing game was tough to stop. But when under pressure, the Broncos capitalized.
"In the pass pro, we got edged a little bit," said Coen. "I think Zach Allen really disrupted things inside. We all kind of took our turns a littl be bit up front. It wasn't necessarily one guy for the majority of the game, I think we all kind of took our turns."
Coen says that there are things he and the coaching staff can do moving forward to help the offensive line out in those situations.
"We've gotta do a better job of moving the launch point," Coen added, "doing some things to be able to help those guys so they're not just getting teed off on in some of the longer down-and-distances -- getting the ball out a little bit more. Some longer developing routes that the ball is getting held on to a little bit, I don't think we helped them with some of that. So it definitely wasn't necessarily one guy that hurt us. I'm confident in that group and their ability to respond."
The Broncos boast a very good defensive front, but most good teams do. This is the caliber of defensive line play that the playoff-hopeful Jaguars will have to contend with.
