As he approaches his first game in over two years, it's obvious that his workload will be greatly reduced from what it once was.

The presumed notion is that Donald's usage will mainly be for passing downs, with his numbers likely averaging around 30-40% of all defensive snaps per game. Donald believes that less will be more, with the legend stating that he plans to rotate in and out constantly to maintain his health for the season.
“I'll probably be a lot more fresh," said Donald on his reduced snap count. "I'll probably be fresh. It's a long year, long season. Like I said, we have a lot of good football players out here. My game plan is, however it's going to be, I'm going out go out there and play hard. And when I need a break, tap out, let the next guy go out there and eat, and I'll be right back. I think we have a good game plan to get myself going and get this team going. Whatever that role is, I'm ready for it. I'm excited about it and I'm just going to do it.”
With Myles Garrett missing the next four games due to injury and his placement on injured reserve, Los Angeles can ill-afford for Donald to get hurt. The good news is that Kobie Turner, Poona Ford, Braden Fiske, and others are more than talented enough to allow the three-time Defensive Player of the Year to do what he does best: hunt down quarterbacks.
