A pair of injury updates as the Green Bay Packers prepare to depart for New Jersey on Saturday: defensive lineman Javon Hargrave has been downgraded to out, while edge rusher Lukas Van Ness was removed from the injury report.

Both Hargrave and Van Ness were in the league's concussion protocol this week. Hargrave, who did not practice on Thursday or Friday, did not clear protocol in time and will not play in Week 2. Van Ness cleared protocol and is good to go for Sunday against the New York Jets.

Hargrave, who played 30 snaps in Week 1, was listed as doubtful on Friday's final injury report. His absence on Sunday will likely mean Anthony Campbell makes his NFL debut as the fifth active defensive lineman with Devonte Wyatt, Karl Brooks, Chris McClellan and Jonathan Ford.

The Packers would have been in a difficult position without Van Ness, the defense's top edge rusher until Micah Parsons returns. His backups will be Brenton Cox Jr. and rookie Dani Dennis-Sutton, with Barryn Sorrell expected to be the other starter.

The Packers won't have Hargrave or second-year defensive lineman Warren Brinson (calf injury) on Sunday against the Jets.

Cornerback Benjamin St-Juste and starting offensive linemen Aaron Banks and Zach Bako-Bewele are the three players still questionable on the injury report entering Week 2.
