Recommended Primetime DFS lineups

DK Lineup: QB Patrick Mahomes ($5.5k), RB Jonathan Taylor ($7.5k), RB Kenneth Walker III ($6.5k), WR Puka Nacua ($7.9k), WR Rashee Rice ($6.4k), WR Keenan Allen ($4.6k), TE Travis Kelce ($4.2k), FLEX Isaiah Likely ($4.5k), DST New York Giants ($2.2k)

FD Lineup: QB Jaxson Dart ($7.6k), RB Jonathan Taylor ($8.8k), RB Kennerh Walker III ($7.8k), WR Puka Nacua ($9.3k), WR Xavier Worthy ($6.5k), WR Keenan Allen ($5.8k), TE Isaiah Likely ($5.6k), FLEX Travis Kelce ($5.4k), DST New York Giants ($3.2k)

Patrick Mahomes (QB1) is back, and he showed no signs of limited range from his knee. Despite a few rusty moments, he looked solid against an elite Denver secondary. This week will be much easier, making him the apex pick here. Matthew Stafford (QB2) underperformed, and Jaxson Dart (QB3) overperformed last week. At this point in their careers, they are much closer in fantasy value than you might believe. Both are solid pivots from Mahomes, but Dart's lower price and rushing ability make him my preferred alternative. Daniel Jones (QB4) has the toughest matchup this week, and he may be without his top wide receiver. I'll have very little exposure to him.

Last week, I got burned by picking both running backs on SNF, yet I plan to use that approach again this week. Kenneth Walker III (RB1) went meteoric versus Denver, screwing up my game plan. This matchup should feel like a walk in the park compared to facing the Broncos. Jonathan Taylor (RB2) will be my primary RB2, but his matchup isn't as solid, making him an easier fade if you want to go against the masses. Cam Skattebo (RB3) has a sticky matchup on MNF, but he is also the third every-down back on the slate. Both Kyren Williams (RB4) and Blake Corum (RB5) have better matchups, but they will eat into each other's totals. That said, all three are viable pivots from Taylor. You can also consider using one of them at FLEX if you fade Puka Nacua. The only other backs to consider are Emmett Johnson (RB6) and Devin Singletary (RB7). I won't use them on the regular slate, but they will be key players in my Showdown lineups.

Puka Nacua (WR1 - hip) will be the consensus top wide receiver play on this slate, assuming his hip injury doesn't keep him out. His value is higher on DK than on FD, but he will be hard to fade on either site. If he were to miss this game, Davante Adams (WR4) would be a premium play. To save some money, consider Rashee Rice (WR2) or Malik Nabers (WR3) as pivots. You may also just want to use one of them at WR2. The other WR2 options are Adams, who got the milk carton treatment last week, and Alec Pierce (WR5 - heel), who is questionable for the game. Adams should see considerably more usage than Week 1, making him my favorite of this pair.

WR3 will be a decision between Josh Downs (WR6), Keenan Allen (WR7) and Xavier Worthy (WR8). If I play Rice, I will use one of the Colts. If I play Pierce, I will use Worthy. In addition, if Nacua misses this game, Jordan Whittingham (WR12 - quad) and Tutu Atwell (WR13) could have some WR3 value. If Nacua plays, you can ignore them. None of the other depth wide receivers interest me this week for this slate, but Tyquan Thornton (WR9), Darnell Mooney (WR10) and Malachi Fields (WR11) make great bottom-of-the-roster filler for Showdown contests. If I opted for one in this contest, it would probably be Fields, especially if I was building a Giants' stack with Dart and Nabers.

This week, we have a tale of three tight ends and three tight ends. The first three tight ends: Isaiah Likely (TE1), Tyler Warren (TE2) and Travis Kelce (TE3) are all great options at both tight end and FLEX. Because of the high salaries at running back, I will probably have to use one of them at the FLEX spot, but I won’t mind at all. Likely will be my top pick among this threesome, but all three should eat this week. The second group of three tight ends all play for the Rams. Terrance Ferguson (TE4) was the fantasy darling going into last week, and unfortunately he was more of a cardio-king than a fantasy-relevant asset. Tyler Higbee (TE5) and Colby Parkinson (TE6) were the big performers last season, but this past weekend, they were all on the field together in the red zone. If I chose one of that threesome this week, it would be Parkinson. I feel he is the best bet to score a short TD, but Ferguson is definitely the safer floor play. Theo Johnson (TE7) and Noah Gray (TE8) are backups with their respective teams. Both make great dart throws in Showdown contests, but neither gets the volume to play on this slate.

The New York Giants (DEF3) were game last week on defense versus Dallas. At the lowest price on the board, they will be my favorite defense play. When I have more money to play with, I will pivot to the Kansas City Chiefs (DEF1) or Los Angeles Rams (DEF2). You should ignore the Indianapolis Colts (DEF4) unless you are going completely contrarian against the Chiefs' offense.
